Grape-Nuts Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Grape-Nuts cereal
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. corn syrup
    3 eggs, well beaten
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    9-inch unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine cereal and water.
    Let stand until water is absorbed. Blend eggs with sugar and corn syrup, butter, vanilla and salt; fold into softened cereal. Pour into pie shell.
    Bake for 50 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until puffy.
    Add whipped cream if desired when served.
