Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar or 3/4 c.
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 or 4 egg yolks
    1/2 stick butter
    2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Heat 2 cups of the milk in a heavy saucepan.
    In mixing bowl mix sugar, cornstarch, 1/2 cup of the milk and the egg yolks. Stir into steaming hot milk and cook until thick.
    Add the butter and coconut.
    Stir and put into baked pie shell and top with your favorite meringue.
