Vegetable Soup (With Meat) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. stew meat
    1 bone (if possible)
    1 qt. string beans
    1 qt. tomatoes
    1 can corn
    1 can LeSueur peas
    3 onions, chopped
    6 good size potatoes, chopped
    1/2 lb. okra
    3 or 4 leaves mustard greens (optional)
    1/3 stalk celery
    4 carrots
    1 qt. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    sugar to taste
    1/4 c. rice
Preparation
    Salt and pepper meat and brown (not with flour).
    Place meat in large soup pot with 1 quart water.
    Cook until tender.
    Add string beans; cook 5 minutes.
    Add potatoes, okra, celery, carrots and rice.
    Cook until potatoes are tender, but not mushy.
    Add all other ingredients and cook a while longer.
    Good for company. Serve with corn muffins.
