Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 green tomatoes
1 tsp. onion salt
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. cornmeal
Preparation

Cut tomatoes into thick slices.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Dip in cornmeal, pressing meal firmly onto slices.
Fry in bacon drippings, adding more if needed, until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels.
Serve at once.
Makes 12 to 16 servings.
