Strawberry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. strawberry gelatin (6 oz. pkg.)
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    2 c. buttermilk
    8 oz. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix gelatin and pineapple in a large saucepan.
    Heat on stove until gelatin dissolves and just comes to a boil.
    Allow to cool. Mix in buttermilk and Cool Whip until blended.
    Pour in an 8 x 12-inch dish. Chill.
