Creole Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    6 thin slices lemon
    6 thin slices onion
    6 tsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    In a skillet, brown chops in shortening.
    On each chop place a lemon slice and an onion slice.
    Mix together the brown sugar, catsup and water.
    Pour over chops.
    Cook covered until tender, about 1 hour.
