Homemade Ketchup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    5 c. sugar
    1/4 c. ketchup spice
    2 minced onions
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. vinegar
    paprika to color
Preparation
    Wash, peel and cut up tomatoes.
    Cook, strain and boil again to boiling, until 3/4 previous amount.
    Stir frequently.
    Add vinegar, paprika, sugar and salt.
    Add ketchup, spice and onions.
    Cook until thick.
    Pour in pint jars.
    Let seal.
    Makes 10 pints.
