Ozark Mt. Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    4 c. peeled and diced fresh apples
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to shortening mixture alternately with sour cream.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold in apples by hand.
    Bake in a well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
