Mom'S Potato Leek Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. thinly sliced leek
1 c. diced ham
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. butter
4 c. chicken broth
4 c. sliced cabbage
4 c. diced, peeled potatoes
1 bay leaf
1 c. heavy cream
salt and pepper
4 Tbsp. chopped chives and parsley
Preparation

Cook leeks, ham and garlic in butter in large pot over medium heat until leeks are tender, about 10 minutes.
Add broth, cabbage, potatoes and bay leaf, simmer 30 minutes.
Stir in cream; continue to simmer until heated through.
Garnish with parsley and chives.
