Wilted Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. cabbage, shredded
    1 1/2 c. apples, peeled and chopped
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp in a large skillet.
    Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
    Reserve drippings in skillet.
    Saute pepper in drippings until tender.
    Stir in vinegar, water, sugar and salt.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add cabbage and apples; toss gently. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
    Spoon into serving dish.
    Crumble bacon and sprinkle over top.
    Serves 6.
