Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 large onions (4 c.)
    1 stick margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2/3 c. milk
    8 oz. grated sharp cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 to 1 tsp. prepared mustard
    cracker or bread crumbs (Ritz are good)
Preparation
    Slice onions and saute in 1/2 stick margarine.
    Melt the rest of the margarine in boiler on low heat; stir in flour, seasonings and milk.
    Add grated cheese to this and let cheese melt. Alternate layers of onions and sauce in 1-quart baking dish.
    Top with crumbs.
    Bake at 400\u00b0
    for 20 minutes.
    Very rich, but good.
