Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. light molasses
    1 1/3 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Stir shortening to soften.
    Add sugar and cream.
    Add egg and molasses.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Add molasses mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes until done.
