Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
nutmeg
Preparation

Chill pie shell while making filling.
Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Gradually stir in scalded milk.
Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between outside and center of custard comes out clean.
Cool 15 to 30 minutes, then chill in refrigerator.
