Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/4 c. self-rising corn meal
3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
3 Tbsp. chopped onion
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/4 c. milk or water

Preparation

Combine corn meal, flour and onion in a bowl; mix lightly. Add eggs; blend well.
Gradually beat in milk until smooth.
Drop batter by tablespoons into hot fat in which fish has been fried. Fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve spread with butter.
