Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. margarine
    5 eggs
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar.
    Cut in butter and margarine with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Press crumb mixture into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
    While crust is baking, combine eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, salt and vanilla; blend well.
    Stir in pecans. Pour filling over hot crust.
    Reduce oven temperature to 275\u00b0. Bake about 50 minutes or until center is set.
    Cool in pan on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
    Makes 16 bars.
