Potato-Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced potatoes
    2 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1 small onion
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 tsp. parsley
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    3 c. warm milk
    1 c. grated cheese
    2 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation
    Cook the potatoes in salted water until tender.
    Reserve cooking water.
    Saute onion in oil.
    Put potatoes, water, onion and seasonings in blender and puree in several batches.
    Return to large pot and add warm milk.
    Stir continuously, add the cheese, margarine and seasonings.
    Heat just until cheese melts, do not boil.
    Makes 3 quarts.
