Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose buttermilk biscuit mix
    1 c. grated All-American cheese
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. water
Preparation
    Blend biscuit mix, grated cheese, shortening, salt and cayenne pepper.
    Cut with fork, mixing to a consistency of coarse crumbs. Add egg yolk and water to form stiff dough.
    Knead slightly. Roll into 1/4-inch thickness on floured board.
    Cut into narrow strips and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
