Toasted Coconut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. scalded milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour and salt.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly until mixture starts to thicken.
    Stir a small portion of hot mixture into hot yolks.
    Stir.
    Then pour egg mixture back into hot mixture and cook until thick.
    Remove from
    heat and add butter, vanilla and coconut.
    Pour into a baked pie crust.
    Cover with meringue.
    Beat egg whites and top with coconut.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until top is golden brown.
