White Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

1/4 lb. white chocolate
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Melt chocolate in 1/2-cup boiling water and set aside to cool. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add chocolate and vanilla. Mix together flour and soda. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Mix only until flour is blended. Do not overmix. Stir in pecans and coconut. Pour into 4 greased and floured 9-inch pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until cake test is done.
