Hamburg And Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburg
    1/2 lb. Polish or smoked sausage, sliced
    1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix
    6 c. boiling water
    2/3 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 c. uncooked elbow macaroni or rice
Preparation
    In large kettle, brown hamburg and sausage.
    Drain well.
    Add seasonings, herbs and soup mix.
    Stir in boiling water, tomato juice and soy sauce.
    Add raw vegetables and macaroni; stir well. Cover and bring to boil; turn to simmer for 45 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    May also be cooked in a crock-pot for 8 hours on low temperature, 4 to 5 hours on high.
    Serves 6 or more.
