Maple Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown or white sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
    1 Tbsp. butter (optional)
Preparation
    In saucepan, heat the sugar and water until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in maple flavoring. If desired, add butter.
    Makes 1 1/4 cups syrup.
