Ingredients

1 large onion
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
vegetable oil
Preparation

Peel onion; cut into 1/4-inch thick slices.
Separate into rings.
Beat eggs and milk in large bowl.
Add flour, baking powder and salt until blended.
Pour 1 inch oil in large skillet; heat to 375\u00b0.
Dip rings, a few at a time, in hot oil.
Fry, turning once 3 or 4 minutes or until golden or crisp.
Drain on paper towel.
Add salt if you wish.
Serve hot.
