Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. water
4 c. raw peanuts
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Grease two nonstick pans (10 1/2 x 15 3/4 x 3/4-inch).
Mix sugar, syrup and water and cook until 275\u00b0 (use a candy thermometer), stirring constantly.
Add peanuts and cook until 290\u00b0.
Add butter and vanilla.
Cook until 300\u00b0.
Mix thoroughly and pour into the two buttered pans.
When cool, break into pieces.
Yields 3 1/2 pounds.
