Holiday Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 box strawberry Jell-O
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Boil pineapple and sugar together for 5 minutes.
    Dissolve 1 box of strawberry Jell-O in 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Stir into pineapple mixture and chill until partly set.
    Fold in Cool Whip and chopped pecans.
    Refrigerate overnight or until firm.
