Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. long grain rice
    1/3 c. low-fat shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato wedges
    1/2 medium onion, sliced
    1 Tbsp. garlic sauce
    4 c. water
Preparation
    In large skillet, pour in low-fat shortening.
    Heat.
    Add rice.
    Cook over medium heat until brown.
    Add 4 cups water, tomatoes, sliced onion and garlic sauce.
    Stir well.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Serves 8.
