Green Tomato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium size green tomatoes
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 lemon, sliced
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Wash tomatoes. Cut into thin slices. Cook tomatoes, water and lemon until tomatoes are almost tender.
Drain.
When the tomato liquid has cooled, add the mixture of sugar, cornstarch and salt. Cook until thickened.
Add tomatoes, cinnamon and butter.
Mix thoroughly.
Pour the hot mixture into a pastry shell. Add the top sheet of dough and bake in moderately hot oven at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
