Old Virginia Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. shortening
5 large eggs
3 c. cake flour
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice or flavoring
Preparation

Cream butter and shortening well, then add sugar and eggs slowly.
Add flour and milk and beat well.
Add baking powder, vanilla and lemon juice.
Mix well and pour into well-greased tube pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
