Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening
Preparation

Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Add milk, egg and shortening. Beat until fairly smooth, about 1 minute. Bake in a greased square pan at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
