Applesauce Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. raisins
some nutmeats

Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs well.
Add applesauce with soda added to it.
Sift and add spices, salt and flour.
Add the floured raisins and nutmeats.
Bake in greased loaf pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
