Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. rhubarb, sliced in 1/4-inch pieces
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nut meats
Preparation

Mix sugar, shortening, vanilla, egg, sour milk, baking soda and salt well.
Add rhubarb pieces; mix well.
Spread in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Top with brown sugar and nut meats.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
