Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. mini marshmallows
    2 c. (two 10 oz. pkg.) sliced strawberries in syrup
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Generously grease bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan.
    Thoroughly combine completely thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside.
    In large mixer bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
    Blend at low speed until moistened.
    Beat 3 minutes at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
    Pour batter evenly over marshmallows in pan.
    Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.
    As the cake bakes, the strawberries sink and the marshmallows rise and glaze the top.
