Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 red peppers
    12 green peppers
    12 onions
    1 large stalk celery
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 lb. sugar
    3 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Grind peppers, onions and celery; scald and let stand 5 minutes and drain.
    Scald again and let stand 10 minutes; drain. Make syrup with vinegar, sugar and salt.
    Put mustard and celery seeds in a small bag.
    Put with syrup.
    Put the syrup over the well drained mixture and boil slowly 20 minutes.
    Pack in hot pints and seal.
    Makes about 5 pints.
