Carrot Cake(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. oil
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
2 c. grated carrots (about 4 large ones)
Preparation

Combine and sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and sugar.
Break eggs in small bowl; add oil and vanilla and beat together.
Then add to sifted ingredients together with pineapple, grated carrots and pecans.
This makes a stiff mixture and it is best to fold the flour, etc., by hand.
Pour batter into greased tube pan and bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
