Dirty Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. rice Florentine
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/3 c. water
    8 oz. sausage
Preparation
    Combine contents of both packets from rice Florentine package, butter and water in saucepan; mix well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Simmer, tightly covered, for 20 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
    Shape sausage into thin patties.
    Fry in skillet until brown and crisp; drain on paper towels.
    Crumble sausage into cooked rice mixture; mix well.
    Yield:
    8 servings.
