Red Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. bacon grease
    1 stick oleo
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 cans sauerkraut, rinsed well in warm water
    1/2 bottle ketchup
    1 c. water
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry the onion in the bacon grease and oleo until tender.
    Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 2 1/2 hours.
