Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pt. (2 c.) milk
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 slices buttered bread
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Beat egg and add vanilla, milk, bread and sugar.
    Set aside for 30 minutes, then put into a buttered baking dish.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg, raisins and butter over the top.
    If you double this recipe, use a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Set baking dish in pan of water in oven, if possible.
    Done when silver knife comes out clean.
