Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 c. sugar
    1 small can Angel Flake coconut
    5 egg yolks
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine and oil.
    Add sugar and beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well again.
    Combine flour and soda and add to mixture with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured 8-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
