New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-inch cube salt pork, diced
    1 can whole clams
    3 small onions, chopped
    2 or 3 small potatoes
    1 qt. milk
Preparation
    Cook salt pork; fry onions in salt pork.
    Cut up potatoes and cook in water until almost done.
    Add can of clams and quart of milk.
    Heat slowly.
    Do not boil.
    Serves 4.
