Easy Make Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    40 or more small cucumbers
    6 heads dill or 3 (2 inch) pieces dill stalks per jar
    6 cloves garlic, peeled
    5 thin onion slices
    pinch of crushed pepper
    alum
    1 qt. vinegar (white)
    2 qt. water
    3/4 c. salt (canning)
Preparation
    Sterilize 6 quart jars; have lids ready.
    Place 1 head dill, 1 slice onion, 1 clove garlic, pinch of crushed pepper and 1/4 teaspoon alum in each jar bottom, then pack with cucumbers, leaving space at top.
    Bring to boil water, vinegar and salt. Pour over cucumbers in jar while still hot.
    Seal.
    Delicious.
