Cheesy Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. finely chopped onions
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 qt. warm milk
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
4 to 5 potatoes, chopped
1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
1/2 c. flour
1 qt. chicken broth
1/8 tsp. soda
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Melt butter in large pot.
Add potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery and saute until soft.
Add flour and cornstarch and stir well.
Add stock and milk.
Cook, stirring constantly until mixture has a velvety texture and thickens.
Add soda and cheese and stir. Season with salt and pepper.
Add parsley a few minutes before serving.
