Apple Cranberry Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cranberries
2 medium Granny Smith apples
1 c. sugar
1 c. white wine vinegar
1 medium Spanish onion, diced
1 lemon
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. whole mustard seed
2 whole cloves
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
Preparation

Rinse and drain cranberries.
Peel, core and dice apples.
In medium stainless steel saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, onion and apples. Trim ends from lemon, cut in half crosswise, seed and dice.
Add lemon, cinnamon, mustard seed, cloves and salt to apple mixture.
Place saucepan over medium heat. Bring to simmer.
Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
Add cranberries and simmer 5 more minutes. Cool and refrigerate. Makes 3 cups.
