Punch Base - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
3 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. almond
1/2 c. lemon juice
Preparation

The ingredients make 1 quart of punch base.
Add 5 parts of lemon-lime, ginger ale, or whichever carbonated drink you prefer. Can be diluted with water, or can dilute with combination of both, depending upon what you are serving.
Can be frozen ahead of time. Thaws quickly.
Pour over ice.
