Southern Skillet Chicken Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1 clove garlic, mashed
    2 c. cooked chicken (cut into large chunks)
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    In a large skillet, saute onion, green pepper and mushrooms in shortening, heated to 375\u00b0, until onion is soft. Add remaining ingredients except rice. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Serve over rice.
