Individual Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for double pie crust
    peeled and cored apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. salt
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Roll pastry 1/8-inch thick and cut into 6 large squares. Place an apple in the center of each square. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt.
    Place equal amount of sugar mixture in center of each apple.
    Dot with butter or margarine.
    Moisten edges of pastry.
    Bring corners together at top of apple.
    Seal edges. Prick pastry with fork or make gashes with sharp knife.
    Place in shallow baking pan.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender.
