Country Supper Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped (optional)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 (15 oz.) can green beans
    1 (15 oz.) can sliced carrots
    4 c. instant mashed potatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in 10-inch skillet with onion and green pepper.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Pour off any excess grease.
    Place in a 3-quart casserole dish.
    Pour over 8 ounces tomato sauce.
    Add green beans and carrots.
    Prepare mashed potatoes.
    Spoon over top of vegetables.
    Pour over 8 ounces of tomato sauce.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
