Fruit Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sweet butter
    1 c. unbleached flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    24 plums or 1 pt. blueberries, peaches or apples to cover batter
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add flour, baking powder and eggs. Beat well.
    Spoon batter into 9-inch spring-form pan.
    Place fruit on top of batter.
    Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove and cool.
