Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. yellow or devil's food cake mix
Preparation

Cream butter and cream cheese.
Blend in egg and vanilla.
Add dry cake mix, 1/3 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Cover; chill 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Drop by scant teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
