Grandma Mary'S Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. scalded milk
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. margarine
1 egg
1/2 c. mashed potatoes
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water (110~)
1/4 tsp. sugar (let stand 5 minutes)
3 1/4 c. flour or more if sticky
Preparation

Scald milk; add margarine, mashed potatoes and egg (I use blender).
Add sugar, salt and yeast mixture.
Beat in 1 1/2 cups of flour.
Add rest of flour.
Knead well.
Let rise until double. Can punch down and let rise again if you have time.
Form in small balls and dip into melted shortening and place in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Let rise at least 1 hour in warm place.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes, until golden.
Makes 20 to 24 rolls.
