*Real French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    4 large onions, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/3 c. thin flour and water mixture (approximately)
    6 c. water
    7 beef bouillon cubes
    dashes of garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce (for color and flavor; optional)
Preparation
    Boil 6 cups water and dissolve bouillon cubes.
    In a Dutch oven or large pan, brown butter lightly.
    Add sliced onions and brown.
    Add the 6 cups of beef stock and the salt and pepper. Also add dashes of other optional ingredients mentioned.
    Taste as you go!
    It gets better and better.
    Boil for 10 minutes.
