Eva St. Clair'S Glazed Sweet Potatoes And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sweet potatoes
    2 or more cooking apples, peeled and sliced thin
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cook unpeeled sweet potatoes in water to cover until tender. Cool.
    Peel and slice lengthwise in 1/2-inch slices.
    Layer 1/2 of sweet potatoes in shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cover with apples.
    Top with second layer of potatoes.
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Add sugar and water.
    Bring to boil.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for about 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
